My Story

My name is Samantha. I was born in Ohio and am the daughter of two Air Force officers, which meant spending my childhood moving up and down the East Coast. I graduated high school in Northern Virginia and went on to attend Ithaca College, an amazing school tucked away in upstate New York.
At Ithaca, I studied Television and Photography, minored in Integrated Marketing Communications, and almost minored in World Religious Studies (I still think about choosing to graduate early instead of taking that last class, ha). During college, I interned with the NBC Agency, and the following year, thanks in part to my mom being born in India, I earned a coveted spot in the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Intern Program, which placed me at TBWA\Chiat\Day NY and got to spend my summer as a true New Yorker. I supported the print department and soaked up everything I could.
But my time in NYC wasn’t enough to keep me from heading west. After graduation, I followed my parents to California, where my dad was stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave Desert. I escaped to the nearest city as soon as I could: Los Angeles.
As I like to say, “Los Angeles didn’t earn my heart without heartbreak - but this is not just a love affair.” It took me three years to fall for the city, but when I did, it was deep. LA became the home I had been seeking.
I started my career in LA with an internship at Disney Interactive and soon joined the newly formed Davis Elen Digital team, where I wore many hats for a Hawaiian adventure cruise client. From there, I moved to Saatchi LA, producing all kinds of digital work from homepage takeovers to Facebook pages for Toyota - before landing at Sony Pictures Interactive where I produced all kinds of digital assets for Sony movies. That team became my family, and I was promoted to Producer within a year, solidifying my journey into entertainment marketing.
After Sony, I pivoted to Threshold Interactive, where I worked on Nestlé Regional Spring Waters brands, producing sweepstakes, mobile sites and social assets. Then I returned to Sony - this time on the client side at Sony Pictures Television, managing the digital footprint for three networks (Sony Movie Channel, Cine Sony, and getTV). One of our proudest wins was a campaign in August 2019 for Walker, Texas Ranger that increased viewership by 12% in just one month.
In April 2019, after months of studying, I earned my PMP certification.
In October 2020, I took on a dream contract role at Apple, working alongside some of the most talented creatives in the industry. That led to a full-time Senior Creative Producer role at Home Brew Agency, where I expanded into social-first campaigns for film and TV. From there, I joined Legion Creative, where I produced the award-winning 360 campaign for Showtime’s Yellowjackets.
In August 2024, I made the difficult but necessary decision to leave Los Angeles and relocate to Fort Worth, Texas to be closer to family. I worked remotely with Trailer Park Group for a while, but now I’m in a season of rediscovery and finding my footing in a new city, saying yes to unexpected opportunities, while still staying open to what’s next.
What hasn’t changed is this: I love being a producer because I love bringing ideas to life. I’m someone who wants to be in every phase of the process. I want to have an impact and influence throughout, but most importantly I want to feel that sense of completion you get from taking an idea and making it a reality. I am a natural leader and a great presenter. I honestly love taking an idea, any idea, and using the power of storytelling to create something that has the power to influence anyone.
