MOBILE MARKERS / SITES

SONY PICTURES INTERACTIVE

During my time at Sony Pictures Interactive I was tasked as the main mobile producer. This meant I was responsible for creating and maintaining all QR codes used in campaigns along with being the expert in how best to use them. For a year I was the main mobile marker site producer, eventually culminating in an amazing project for the movie The Vow.

Vow-chers

In early 2013 I worked with designers and developers to create a mobile site for the film release of “The Vow”. The site featured shareable “vowchers” which contained sentimental vows that a user could send to a friend or loved one.

Users were directed to the site by scanning a mobile Microsoft Tag code, which we customized in house, which could be found on various outdoor print ads.

QR code destination sites

From 2012-2013 I produced all of the mobile marker sites for various Sony Pictures Home Entertainment titles both domestically and internationally including; 30 minutes or Less, Bad Teacher, Brooke Burke fitness DVDs, Exporting Raymond, Friends with Benefits, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Pom Wonderful: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, and Priest.

Mobile sites were QA’d for use on iPhone and android devices. Traffic was driven to each site by scanning a Microsoft Tag or QR code placed at point of purchases or in some cases on the back of DVD packaging. Each site contained links to buy digital copies of the title, become social media fans, learn where to buy, and usually a short video which would play using the native video players for each phone.
